Indian Airlines has introduced new promotional fares in economy class on the Bombay-Madurai, Bangalore-Mangalore, Madras-Trivandrum and the Madras-Calicut sectors till September 30.

The one way economy class fare from Bombay to Madurai is now Rs 4,410.

IA operates a daily flight between Bombay and Madurai.

IC 671 departs Bombay at 0920 hours and reaches Madurai at 1240 hours.
On the return journey IC 672 departs Madurai at 1320 hours and reaches Bombay at 1640 hours.

The one way economy class fare from Bangalore to Mangalore is now Rs 1,740.

IA operates thrice a week between Bangalore and Mangalore.

CD 7559 departs Bangalore at 0715 hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and reaches Mangalore at 0755 hours.
On the return journey CD 7560 departs Mangalore at 0825 hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and reaches Bangalore at 0905 hours.

Age limit reduced for women senior citizens

Indian Airlines has reduced the age limit for female passengers, eligible for the senior citizens'discount from 65 years to 63 years. The fare for senior citizens is 50 per cent of the basic fare. The age limit for men will continue to be 65 years.

Indian Airlines has made the following changes in the schedule of their flights in the Eastern region:

Calcutta-Bangkok-Singapore-Bangkok-Calcutta : IC 729/730, a bi-weekly, will operate on the Calcutta-Bangkok-Singapore-Bangkok-Calcutta sectors on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

IC 729 will depart Calcutta at 0925 hours on Tuesdays and arrive in Bangkok at 1320 hours. The flight will depart Bangkok at 1420 hours and arrive in Singapore at 1715 hours.
IC 729 will depart Calcutta at 0945 hours on Saturdays and arrive in Bangkok at 1340 hours. The flight will depart Bangkok at 1420 hours and arrive in Singapore at 1715 hours.

Calcutta-Yangon-Singapore-Yangon-Calcutta: Indian Airlines has withdrawn the twice a week flight on Calcutta- Yangon-Singapore-Yangon-Calcutta sector.
Calcutta-Yangon-Bangkok-Yangon-Calcutta: A twice a week flight IC 727/728 will operate on the Calcutta- Yangon-Bangkok-Yangon-Calcutta sectors twice a week.

IC 727 will depart Calcutta at 1200 hours on Wednesdays and Fridays and arrive in Bangkok via Yangon at 1710 hours.
On the return journey IC 728 will depart Bangkok at 1800 hours on Wednesdays and Fridays and arrive in Calcutta at 2030 hours.
